A young, crusading DA in a provincial city tries to take on corrupt politicians, police and exploitative factory owners, soon discovering the link between all is a history with the far-right OAS. Dewaere is impossible not to root for, sympathize with, and pity as he idealistically stares down an immovable force and the dark deeds of his elders.
