For School Groups
In this workshop, students learn about the scientific processes at work behind climate change. Participants are given a set of cards that describe the processes, both natural and human, that affect the climate. Working in small groups, students will use these cards as a base for their diagram, or “fresk,” to map out the complex relationship between human activity and the earth’s climate. Workshop coordinators will guide students as needed. The second portion of the workshop is an opportunity to discuss the solutions that can mitigate climate change.
Workshops can be conducted in French, English, or both languages, upon request. Please note that capacity for this workshop is limited to 25 students maximum. Please contact us for more information.
For Teachers
In addition to offering workshops for student groups, L’Alliance New York will offer two sessions of training for teachers who wish to become Climate Fresk facilitators. The professional training will be conducted by experienced members of the Climate Fresk organization, invited to L’Alliance to lead this professional development opportunity.
Teacher training sessions will be offered in November and May.
