Sneak Preview
The latest film from Martin Provost, which premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, paints a rich portrait of one of modern art’s most fascinating couples.
1893. When aspiring French painter Pierre Bonnard (Vincent Macaigne), a protégé of Claude Monet, meets the enigmatic Marthe de Méligny (Cécile de France), he has no idea that this self-styled aristocrat will become the central force in both his life and art. Far more than a muse—though she appears in over a third of his works—Marthe becomes Bonnard’s lifelong partner, as the two embark on a deeply intertwined journey of love, artistic exploration, and emotional complexity. Spanning five decades, their story challenges the norms of their time and delves into the enduring mystery of their relationship.
(Official Synopsis – Palace Films)
The film will be released later in 2025 by Cohen Media.
