Animation First is pleased to present its 4th Animation Jam, where students will be given 48 hours to complete an animation sequence. This year the participating schools are BRASSART School, Montpellier and Paris campus, in France, Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, and School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York. Two teams will be formed from each participating school and students are encouraged to use any animation techniques but must include an image and the original music from Death Does Not Exist in their finished sequence of 20 seconds.
Teams from each school will have 48 hours to complete their own animation sequence starting on Thursday, February 5 at 10:30AM ET until Saturday, February 7 at 10:30AM ET. Viewers will be able to check the student’s work in progress online streaming via Twitch.
The final animated sequences will be unveiled during the festival’s closing night program, on Sunday, February 8 at 7:15PM ET. It will be screened in-person at L’Alliance New York, and online via Twitch.
