See the first episode of French director AmĆ©lie Harraultās animated four-part television series that is centered on the storied literary and art scene of 19th century Paris. It follows the greatsāHugo, Berlioz, Chopin, Delacroix, Courbet, Baudelaire, Balzac, and Dumasāthrough the most impactful moments of their rule-breaking creative careers. As destined paths cross, paintbrushes and pens are wielded to awaken society and reshape history. Entirely told in traditional 2D animation, and featuring gorgeous scenes evoking Paris of the 1800s, Harrault paints a visually rich portrait of these masters and the turbulent times in which they lived.
This episode premiere will be preceded by a 20-second bumper film created by Brassart-MOPA students.

AmƩlie Harrault

Director of The Legends of Paris
Harrault studied at the Ćcole des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse and then at the EMCA school of animation in AngoulĆŖme. She collaborated on the illustration and layout of books, including I Would Say That I Missed the Train by Pierre Soletti and The Magician of the Words. For her first short film, Mademoiselle Kiki and the Montparnos, Harrault received the CĆ©sar Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2014. In 2015, she directed the series Adventurers of Modern Art for Franco-German channel ARTE. Since 2014, AmĆ©lie Harrault has been artistic director of the animation studio Silex Animation in AngoulĆŖme, founded by the production company Silex Films.

Co-writer ofĀ The Legends of Paris
CƩline RontƩ directs the creation of voices before the image in numerous animated films, such as Funan by Denis Do, I Lost My Body by JƩrƩmy Clapin, The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales by Benjamin Renner and Patrick Imbert, and The Summit of the Gods by Patrick Imbert. For 25 years, she has also lent her voice to many film, television, and animation projects. She contributed to the writing of La balade de Yaya and has just completed the script for a feature film, Les IlluminƩs, produced by Pan EuropƩenne.
