Claire (Bulle Ogier), following the suicide of an old friend (Loleh Bellon, the filmmaker’s sister), looks through her belongings as the film reveals their lives in fragments. We glimpse a few days in the life of Claire as she reflects on her past and determines her future through objects and a kaleidoscope of people who do not know one another and are unaware of the threads the past weaves between them.
