Naked Love
L’Amour nu
Schedule
Tuesday, December 2, 2025
Yannick Bellon, 1981, 100min, DCP
Starring Marlène Jobert, Jean-Michel Folon, Georges Rouquier
The story of a woman (Marlène Jobert) afflicted with a sudden and potentially terminal breast cancer diagnosis, which Bellon uses as a pretext to explore the possibility of happiness—particularly romantic—under dire and confusing circumstances. At the same time, the film confronts the scourge of illness, suggesting that to endure it with dignity and moral strength is, in Bellon’s view, to truly exist. Unfolding not in a strictly linear fashion, the film drifts into digressions and interludes that together evoke a fragile love story.
