Join us during L’Alliance New York’s fall Open House to experience our brand-new interactive gallery exhibition, Les tutomouves, and to meet our new partners, Dance Workshop!
As a lighter version of the monumental installation Les plantamouves originally created for the Centre Pompidou in Paris, this exhibition-workshop combines the tactile whimsy of mobile sculpture with interactive dance, inviting audiences of all ages to engage with more than 240 vibrantly colorful foam pieces through inventive video tutorials.
Special for our fall open house, 20-minute in-person workshops will be led throughout the day by teaching artists from Dance Workshop, guiding guests through movements, dance, and offering creative interactions with the exhibit.
When you’re done dancing with us, grab a refreshment during our Opening Reception! Between 12pm and 2pm, family-friendly refreshments will be provided to celebrate the opening of the exhibition.*

Starting this fall, L’Alliance is partnering with Dance Workshop to bring open-level dance classes to L’Alliance New York families! Try a mini class during our Open House, then join us for monthly workshops as part of Family Saturdays programming!

All visitors are required to remove their shoes before entering the gallery. This is mandatory.

Clédat & Petitpierre
Yvan Clédat and Coco Petitpierre are partners in art and life. Working equally in the exhibition space and on stage, their body of work includes sculpture, performance, directing, and choreography as well as costume and scenery construction. They invented “sculptures to activate,” works that they inhabit and bring to life during silent performances. Their creations have been presented in more than fifteen countries.
About Dance Workshop
Nestled in the heart of the Upper East Side on 60th Street between Park and Madison Avenues, Dance Workshop is a community-focused studio committed to dance education in their brand new, luxe studio. Their newly renovated space offers Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre and Acro for ages 2+. The studio offers a Pre-Professional Company track for dancers interested in taking their technique to the next level.
