Benjamins (grades K-1) Beginner Level 3
Benjamin Level 2 is for children with a minimum of one year of French at L’Alliance or in an equivalent program during the previous months.

At this level, children will learn to talk about houses, shapes, animals, transportation, weather, and holidays.
To attend this level children should have completed Benjamin Beginner 2 (EBJ.BEG.2). After this level, children will advance to Benjamin Advanced Beginner 1 (EBJ.ADBEG.1).
If your child has had prior exposure to French but hasn’t previously been enrolled in L’Alliance New York language classes, they must take a placement test. Contact languagecenter@lallianceny.org (Manhattan Campus) or montclair@lallianceny.org (Montclair Campus) to schedule a test. How does it compare to the Cned program? This program requires less time commitment and has no formal evaluations or homework. Unlike the Cned program’s comprehensive coverage of an entire school level, our Benjamin classes for native and near-native French-speaking children concentrate on key concepts suitable for students’ ages.
