In this course, you’ll build your understanding of frequently used sentences and expressions, you’ll reinforce your ability to talk about familiar topics and personal interests, and you’ll learn to better describe your background and immediate environment. Authentic resources and real world tasks will introduce you to the structure and use of French in everyday life.

With engaging multimedia activities, texts, and course books, you will learn to relate personal experiences, to ask for and give your opinion, and explain your routine. Culturally, you’ll learn about Erasmus+, a study abroad program and French cinema from around the world. At the end of this class, you will be able to express yourself more clearly about increasingly in-depth topics.

Level A2.1 is the first sub-level of the Advanced Beginner A2 level. Advanced Beginner A2 level consists of 4 sub-levels: Level A2.1, Level A2.2, Level A2.3, and Level A2.4.

Soha is the best! I love our group of students and she really knows how to teach grammar and makes it fun… I can visibly see our class improve each session.

I enjoy the focus on getting the students actually speaking in class. Other materials are presented in the homework, so it doesn’t take away from the time in class where more active participation occurs. I wouldn’t change anything.

I liked the interaction with my peers, the skits we have to prepare in class, the readings we have to do out loud, the compositions we have do at home, and the teacher’s sense of humor.

level of interest – The 2 hours flew by.

    My teacher was excellent.

    My teacher was excellent.

Great group and L'Alliance NY representative. I now feel like I can navigate through France and communicate most of what I need to say and hear. I could not recommend this program more!

The opportunity to converse about interesting topics. I wouldn’t change anything.

We are so happy with the teachers my children have had at L’Alliance New York. They are experienced, calm, loving with the children and they create a wonderful atmosphere for learning.

Everything. Above all, the teacher, the skill level of student participants, the dialogue and the instructional expertise. I wouldn’t change anything.

How easy it is for conversational interchange among all the students. The group is small enough and not intimidating, so that everyone gets his or her chance to talk.

What I liked most about the class is that it’s very inclusive, so nobody feels left out… Estele makes it fun and interactive.

The emphasis on speaking helped with my confidence.
